The International Security Assistance Force said in a statement that another 15 ISAF soldiers and four Afghan troops were wounded in the all-day battle on Sunday. In the southern province of Helmand, the US-led coalition said at least 40 Taliban militants were killed during a two-day battle. Civilians also suffered heavy casualties on the weekend. 24 people, including children, were killed when a suicide bomber targeted a police car in the southern province of Uruzgan.
