French FM heads to Colombia to appeal for Betancourt release ... after her release 10 days ago. She said she was counting on Sarkozy to help free the scores of other hostages believed to be held by FARC. The award was presented at the traditional Bastille Day celebrations in Paris. Syrian President Bashar al-Assad was a guest of honour at the event attended by a host of world leaders who stayed on after the weekend's Mediterranean summit in the French capital.
