European airplane manufacturer Airbus has announced a healthy order book at the end of this year's Farnborough Air Show.
Airbus chief, Thomas Enders, said that the company had secured 247 firm orders and nine commitments to purchase worth more than 25 billion euros. This Airbus's second best ever sales record at the air show. In spite of this, Enders cautioned that business will be down compared to 2007 due to possible order cancellations by airlines struggling with soaring fuel prices.
