Talks to resolve Zimbabwe's political crisis have stalled after opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai refused to sign a framework for negotiations.
His party, the Movement for Democratic Change and the ruling ZANU-PF party of President Robert Mugabe are under international pressure to negotiate after the widely condemned re-election of Mugabe last month. Meanwhile, the EU has said that it is set to tighten sanctions on Mugabe's inner circle early next week. As the crisis continues to deepen, Zimbabwe's central bank says inflation has now hit an incomprehensible 2.2 million percent, by far the highest in the world.
