German Chancellor Angela Merkel has met with Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika for talks on the second day of her visit to the North African country.
Algeria is the third-largest provider of natural gas to European markets and the Chancellor said that she wanted to establish a gas partnership with Algeria to diversify Germany's energy sources.
