The French Nuclear Safety Authority says that a broken pipe at a nuclear fuel plant in south-east France had caused a radioactive leak but no damage to the environment.
The news came a day after the government ordered safety tests at all the country's 19 nuclear power plants following another leak at a facility earlier this month. A spokesman for the authority down-played the danger from the leak saying that it was classified as a level one incident, the lowest of seven grades.
