About 300,000 Catholic faithful have gathered to see Pope Benedict XVI lead a giant Sunday mass in Sydney, Australia.
The pope arrived by helicopter at a large Sydney racecourse where he gave his final major speech of the week. Organisers say the mass was one of the biggest public events ever held in Australia, even though numbers were lower than the half million expected.
