German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier has pledged continued support to building and training Afghan security forces as part of efforts to rebuild the war-torn country.
Steinmeier was talking to reporters after opening a German-funded military driving school in Kabul. He is scheduled to meet Afghan President Hamid Karzai later this Saturday. The German minister said it was vital to push ahead with the training of security forces as the security situation in the country had worsened.
