Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama has returned to the US after his fact-finding tour of the Middle East and Europe.
The last stop of the eight-nation tour was Britain, where he held talks with Prime Minister Gordon Brown in London. After the meeting, Obama told a press conference that the focus of the talks was on strengthening trans-Atlantic relations. Meanwhile Obama's rival in the race to the White House, Republican John McCain has sought to highlight Obama's failure to visit wounded troops from the Iraq and Afghanistan wars at a US military hospital during his visit to Germany on Friday.
