in parliament. Official results are not expected for days. The CPP had been widely expected to win thanks to near double-digit economic growth over the last five years. Hun Sen gained extra support from an ongoing nationalist spat with neighbouring Thailand over a 900-year-old temple on their border. The CPP has been Cambodia's dominant party since the country introduced democracy in 1993. The main challenger among the 11 parties which contested was the Sam Rainsy Party.
