Most Czechs have no access to retraining at work - survey ... by the U.S. Department of State. However, Czechs may start travelling to the USA without visas from this autumn on. In February, the Czech Republic was the first EU country to have signed a memorandum with the USA paving the way toward the cancellation of visas for the Czechs travelling overseas. The U.S. embassy will have lowered the fee for the third time this year. At present, visas are not needed only by 15 older EU countries, except Greece. Of the EU after 2004 newcomers, only Slovenians do not need them, while Czechs and Slovaks do. Americans have visa-free access to the whole EU. At the beginning of the week, the Czech crown reached a record high exchange rate of $1 = 14.45 crowns. On Friday, the dollar was traded for 15 crowns.
