17 people have been killed and at least 150 injured in two consecutive explosions in a residential area in the Turkish city of Istanbul.

Turkish army says air strikes killed over 150 PKK rebels ... as people rushed to the scene of the first bombing to help the blast victims. The governor said the bombs were in rubbish bins and that it was not a suicide bombing. Turkish authorities suspect Kurdish militants were responsible for the explosions.
