A strong earthquake has rattled Los Angeles, but there are so far no reports of damage or injuries.
The 5.8 magnitude quake struck at 11.42 am local time and was centred 50 kilometers east of Los Angeles at a depth of about 10 kilometers. The tremor was felt across Los Angeles, with office blocks in Hollywood swaying and shuddering after the quake.
