Hamas security forces have arrested Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas's top Fatah representatives in the Gaza Strip, as tensions grow between the rival factions.
In a statement, Hamas said the arrests were a response to the arrest of Hamas leaders in the West Bank. Abbas reportedly ordered the release of all pro-Hamas activists on Thursday, but Hamas says they have not yet been freed, saying more arrests of its members were made overnight.
