Israeli police have questioned Prime Minister Ehud Olmert over corruption allegations, only days after he announced he would step down due to the controversy.
It was the fourth time since May that anti-fraud investigators have interviewed the Israeli leader. Further interviews are expected next week concerning allegations that he accepted bribes from an American businessman while mayor of Jerusalem. On Wednseday, Olmert said he would not contest an internal leadership ballot in September due to the investigation. He denies any wrongdoing.
