The comments come in the wake of a row over this week's allegations that the International Olympic Committee cut a deal with Chinese officials to limit journalists' access to certain websites which Beijing deems sensitive. The IOC denies making a deal and says the issue has been resolved. Media reports say websites including those of Amnesty International and Deutsche Welle would no longer be blocked, while access to sites of Tebetan groups and the spiritual movement Falun Gong would remain restricted.
