A stampede at a Hindu temple in northern India has killed at least 68 people, police say.
The stampede happened at the Nainadevi temple near Shimla, in the state of Himachal Pradesh, during a Hindu religious festival.
The temple, in the Bilsapur district, is a pilgrimage site and was thought to be busy with worshippers on the second day of a nine-day festival.

One local TV channel said many of the victims children.
Crowds had gathered at the temple to celebrate the festival of Shravan Navratras, which began on Saturday and runs until 11 August, according to the temple's own website.
