Israel's defence ministry has begun transferring to the West Bank scores of clan members linked to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah group who fled into Israel to escape factional fighting in Gaza on Saturday.
Israeli officials said 130 fugitives would be sent to Jericho while 20 others, who were wounded, including clan leader Ahmed Helles, are to remain for treatment. Israel reversed its decision to return the men to Gaza, saying their lives would be in danger. On Sunday, 30 were sent back to Gaza where they were detained by Hamas police.
