The German pilots' union Cockpit has begun a 36-hour strike at Lufthansa subsidiary Cityline.
The strike is to last until midday on Friday. The union called the strike after pay talks stalled. Cityline pilots earn far less than their counterparts at the parent company, Lufthansa. Last Friday, ground and cabin crew for Lufthansa reached a deal in their pay dispute, ending a five day strike.
