Police in Nepal have broken up a protest by Tibetan exiles in front of the Chinese embassy in Kathmandu.
Police detained at least 400 people who had ignored a government ban on protests in the area. An official said the demonstrators have been taken to several detention centres and were expected to be released later in the day.
